West London Aero Club’s Members Day 2026

On Saturday 5 September, glorious late‑summer weather brought an excellent turnout for the West London Aero Club’s (WLAC’s) annual Members Day at White Waltham, near Maidenhead. The event once again raised funds for the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund, Thames Valley Air Ambulance, and Navy Wings, and delivered a full day of flying, fun, and community spirit. RAF Hendon

A Day of Wings, Engines & Questionable Aerodynamic Theories. Our latest ThamesMOG outing took us to the RAF Museum Hendon, where we traded four wheels for two wings and discovered that early aviators were even braver than anyone who has ever attempted to reverse park a Morgan at a National Trust property. Weathering the Storm Despite the inclement autumn weather and frequent rain showers, spirits were anything but dampened at our Noggin on Sunday 19th October. With the forecast suggesting a low turnout, there was some concern as we were expecting a very special guest: Jann Robinson, Director and Chair of the MSSC, who had kindly agreed to join us and provide an update on the club’s direction and challenges. Ten Hills Tour of the Chiltern Hills

43.6 miles, nineteen Morgans (+ a Caterham, whose owner's Morgan was off the road), ten hills, and one objective – to enjoy the drive through the lovely flowing Chiltern countryside. Morgans filled The Red Lion car park at Britwell Salome, while their drivers and navigators enjoyed coffee and bacon butties inside, before setting off on our mystery tour. Nuffield Place 2025

Fourteen of us, in six Morgans and a tin top, met at Nuffield Place on 20th August for  guided tours of the house and an opportunity to explore the gardens. The house was home to William George Morris – later Lord Nuffield – for thirty years, until his death in 1963, when it was bequeathed with all its furniture and personal belongings to the Nuffield College. It was later transferred to the National Trust in 2012 and remains largely unchanged, retaining all its original features, fixtures, fittings, and personal belongings.
