I was sorry to learn that our very own Terry Tedman has just sold his Morgan, the Duke, that only last summer featured in Classic and Sports Car magazine. The Duke now lives in France. I know Terry has had his eye of the 4/4 Sports - a super car with a high revving engine, just the job. Whatever you do Terry I know your time with Morgan ownership has been enjoyable. Terry´s son will be going back to Afghanistan shortly with the Army as a pilot officer. I know he has already completed several tours of duty with his brave colleagues. On behalf of the Centre I would like to send Terry our best wishes for your son´s safe return after his tour.
At the time of writing (April 1st, 2010) we are on the verge of a general election being called for a new UK government, with the most likely date being May 6th. So for our next visit to the Ace Cafe, London the election will no doubt be well and truly over, for better or worse, since our next visit will be on 15th May with our friends from the Marcos Club. Last year, if you remember, we met up with members of the Monster Raving Looney Party. Whether the Loonies will be part of a hung parliament, by the time of our visit, we shall probably know by then. The mastermind of our visit last year was Gary Harman of the Marcos club. He had the original idea that we should invade the Cafe on mass. I would like to thank Gary for getting this one off the ground. I hope you can make it - all Centres most welcome. I hope this will become an annual event for us.
