Please note that our AGM will be held on Saturday evening March 3rd at the Bird In Hand, Knowl Hill at 19:30 for 20:00. I am pleased to remind you that Michele Bailey, the Vice Chair of the Morgan Sports Car Club, will be joining us at our AGM where she will give us an address on life with a Morgan from her view point. We are honoured Michele that you have accepted our invitation and I look forward to meeting you during the evening. I would like to thank Ann Miller for contacting Michele to facilitate her attendance. A buffet will be available after the AGM so please book with Mike Aldrich if you would like to partake. I would like to thank Mike for arranging the food – our recent Christmas dinner at the Bird In Hand was exquisite. I look forward to seeing you at our AGM – I hope you can join us.
Over the first weekend in May Geoff Giles is planning a long weekend in East Sussex based in Battle. There will be visits to National Trust properties, a pedal car museum, the Morgan 3 wheeler museum, a trip on the Kent & East Sussex Railway, other local attractions. The Boules match for the Glenn Davies trophy will be held sometime over this weekend – most likely on a local beach. Accommodation will be at the Powdermills Hotel http://www.powdermillshotel.com Please contact Geoff if you would like to join him for what I am sure will be a very enjoyable weekend. I would like to thank Geoff and his team for pulling this exciting event together.
Interest in Terry Tedman’s return to Fawley Hill and the ultimate home railway collection (there seems to be a train trend here) has been strong. There aren’t many tickets left so please contact Terry as soon as you can if you would like to go. The tickets are £10 per person. The monies go to help pay for the coal used in the steam engine. It has been sometime since we were fortunate enough to attend these visits. So if you want to go I hope you don’t miss out as it could be years before we will be lucky enough to have another chance to see this marvellous collection – if you love train sets this is a must. I would like to thank Terry for organising this event and for ensuring our return.
Lyn Sandford’s National Trust visit to Hinton Ampner is also proving popular. Please contact Lyn as soon as you can if you want to have a prime spot outside the house with all the other display Morgan Sports Cars. Thank you Lyn it should be a very enjoyable day. Please contact Lyn if you would like to join us.
