I am pleased to be able to report that we will be holding our AGM on Saturday 20th April at the Bird In Hand from 19:30. Please contact Mike Aldrich (details below) to let him know you are coming so that we can arrange the accommodation accordingly. We are hoping for a guest speaker, however, we have had to confirm the venue date before our speaker has been able to settle. As soon as we can we will let you know his identity, in the meantime it will have to be a closely guarded secret – thank you for your understanding. I look forward to seeing you there.

As spring is in the air we are making a welcome return to our walks around local National Trust properties. While on this subject, last month in Miscellany there was an interesting article on our visit to Nuffield Place last year. Well, this article was actually written by Geoff Giles, after all I would have not gotten the number of Land Rovers correct – if it had been tractors I may have been closer, of course. Thank you Geoff for an interesting piece – it was an enjoyable day out. Any other Thames Valley members out there who would like to submit an article for Miscellany then please do or if you would like, I will be pleased to send it on for you – thank you.

Our visit this month will be to Greys Court a family home set in a peaceful estate in the rolling hills of the Chilterns. Detail are on our events page, I hope to see you all there.

I hope springtime finds you all well. Let’s hope March will be very warm and sunny as it was in 2012.

Take care, see you all soon – Roger.
