As I write this, 25 ThamesMOG members are preparing their Morgans, and packing their bags, for our Centre’s trip to Llanerchindda Farm in Carmarthenshire. They will be staying for four nights during which time they will have been on two organised scenic tours and had one day free for free-roaming. This is our third visit here, so you can tell we really enjoy it there. I hope that the weather was fine for them.
ThamesMOG have had a busy time in the past few weeks, with a dozen Morgans visiting the White Waltham airfield for their Members Day fly-in at the end of August. In September members displayed their cars the Winchmore Hill Village Show, and at the end of September, ThamesMOG attended the Kempton Steam Museum for their Classic Car and Bike Show, and also the ever popular West Green Classic Car Show, which this year rounded the day off with The West End Jersey Boys in Concert.
Our trip in October to the ‘Greatmoor Energy from Waste Plant’ is fully booked. Our next event is on Sunday 3rd November when we join with HopMOG and SexMOG for our annual visit to the view the London to Brighton Veteran Car Run at The Jack & Jill pub in Clayton.
Have you always wanted to see what goes on behind the closed doors of Caterham Cars? Join us on Friday December 7th to find out. For over 50 years their factory tours have only been available to a select few, but now it's our turn. Operated from their brand-new factory, close to the Dartford Crossing, their doors are officially open to visitors for the first time. Expert tour guides will take us on the build journey that every Seven goes through, right from the bare chassis through to the final fit and finish.
Don’t forget our two Noggins: First-Thursday Noggin on 3rd October at 7pm; and Third-Sunday Lunchtime Noggin on 20th October at 12:00.
Full details of all our events can be found here https://www.thamesmog.co.uk/events
I hope you have been able to enjoy some of our outings.
