I was sorry to learn that Kevin Newton was taken into hospital over the Christmas and New Year period. Kevin is back at home now resting after his operation. The Bird In Hand noggin in January was snowed in with temperatures only two degrees above the South Pole, at that time. I am pleased to be able to report that Adrienne and Roger Prior have another visit planned to Welford Park that we enjoyed so much last February. A main attraction at this time of year is the Snowdrop Woods. Welford Park is open between 11:00 am and 4:00 pm with all proceeds going to local charities. A gift shop is open along with a tea room that serves light lunches and homemade cakes. Dogs on leads are welcome but you are not allowed to picnic in the grounds - mind you would you want to in February! Welford has a

  Over the years we have always been smartly dressed. This has been thanks in a large part to our regalia officer Jane Davies. So I was very sad to learn that Jane has decided to stand down as our regalia officer due to her changed circumstances and her future direction in life. I would like to thank Adrienne and Roger Prior for sorting our trip to the Dunsfold Aerodrome "Wings and Wheels" event back in August. I understand the air show was quite spectacular. Fortunately, the recently restored Vulcan bomber was able to attend this year giving a remarkable show, after it had demonstrated at the Bournemouth air show. The Red Arrows were seen taking off in formation and landing back in style after a tremendous half hour display. There was a great classic car/bike show as well, I certainly hope Roger and Adrienne will get us back there again next year!
