We had a quiet first Thursday with only a couple of Mogs venturing out. Albert Koo kindly volunteered to organise some outings while Dave and Ann Vodden gave us an up date on our future Treasure Hunt competition (no useful tips I may add)! Our New Year’s Centre dinner was held at the Riveria Hotel, Maidenhead. We had a large table laid out in a private function room with a cosy log fire and a nice view of the River Thames. I hope everyone had a good Christmas and New Year holiday. I was down in Brighton for the festive season and had an enjoyable relaxing time - resting up for next year's competition season. My dogs like it down there; they have a run on the downs in the mornings and then they have a romp on the beach in the afternoons. An early cold winters morning at the top of Devil’s Dyke can be quite spectacular. In one position you can stand looking towards the Sun rising over Brighton with the Downs to the left still covered in darkness.

A half a dozen of us met Andrew at Newlands Corner for our trip to the London to Brighton veteran car run. From the perspective of a local from the Brighton area, I consider this event to be one of the highlights of the year.
