It is with great sadness that I am reporting the passing of Judy Mitchell in March. Judy and her husband Quentin had been regular supporters of ThamesMOG being members for many years. They had moved to Kent just before Christmas, and in January this year Judy and Quentin had joined us for our New Year Dinner. To quote Quentin, “Judy really enjoyed being a Moganeer”.   It is with deep sadness that I report the passing of our Centre Treasurer, Mike Aldrich. Over the Christmas period he had had to go into hospital for a major operation. Whilst this was a success, Mike had undergone many procedures in recent years and this last one, sadly, took a great deal out of him. Early last December, Mike had been determined to go to the wonderful Richard Thorne’s Christmas Party where Richard celebrated his 35 years as a Morgan dealer. At our November Noggin at the Bird-In-Hand, John Buckmaster outlined his planned Centre trip next year to the D Day landings on the Normandy beaches. John is deciding whether to hold the trip in late June or possibly in September next year. The trip, however, will most likely be over a long weekend and should take in all the main beaches and centres of interest. Please have a chat with John at noggins to lodge your interest.   During the early autumn noggins at the Bird In Hand, Quentin and Judy Mitchell said goodbye to us all as they went off for their new life in Hopmog land. They are moving to be closer to their son who lives in Kent. These were sad occasions as Quentin and Judy have been members of the Centre for a long time. They have supported many of our events over the years and have been wonderful company being good friends to many people in the Centre.
